How we collect, use and protect your information

The Payments Association of Zambia (“PAYZ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Agent Training Platform (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use the Platform.
When you register and use the Platform, we may collect the following categories of information:
We process your personal information under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Platform), your consent (submitting optional information), our legitimate interests (securing the Platform) and compliance with legal obligations applicable to financial services and agent networks in Zambia.

We never sell your personal information to third parties.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), encrypted storage for KYC documents, hashed passwords and role-based access controls. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with our legal, regulatory and operational obligations. KYC documents are retained in line with anti-money-laundering requirements.

If you encounter suspected fraud, scams or impersonation on a mobile money platform, please report it to ZICTA by dialling *707# from any mobile network in Zambia. This is a free service.
The Platform is not intended for persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or by email (where available). Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
